BD Loops Loop, Sawcut 4 x 10 w/50ft lead-in

This is a preformed saw-cut style vehicle detection loop designed for installation in existing concrete or asphalt. A groove is cut into the surface, the loop is inserted, and the groove is then sealed with loop sealant. It is not intended for direct burial applications such as concrete pours, gravel or dirt roads, or installation beneath pavers.

The loop measures 4 x 10 and includes a 50-foot lead-in run. It is engineered with 45° dog-ear corners (5½" x 5½" x 7¾") to relieve wire stress and prevent the failures that can occur with sharp 90° bends. The factory-marked red point and forgiving design allow the loop to be adjusted on site—excess can be taken up into the lead-in run, reducing loop size by up to 4 feet, so cuts don't have to be exact.

Used with a compatible detector module, the loop detects moving metal objects while ignoring stationary metal such as rebar, manhole covers, and metal drains. It is well suited for gate and garage door access-control installations, including swing gates, large gates, and indoor parking garages where saw-cut depth can be as shallow as ¾".
