T-Style Drums & Rollers

Bought two to replace in existing garage doors for which no key was available. They fit perfectly and were quick to replace. Now we have a lock with keys.

The complete gear kit was exactly as described and included everything needed to overhaul a worn out assembly. The link to the YouTube video was indispensable. The only small glitch was that the video didn't emphasize was that the plastic sprocket dust cover mounting holes require that the assembly be installed so they line up front to back. I put my opener all back together only to find that the dust cover holes were not where they needed to be. Had to fabricate my own little dust cover from a plastic cup and double stick tape it to the unit. Not pretty but it does the job. Small complaint.

I measured old spring and ordered a replacement from Preferred Doors. The spring took a few days to get due to supply chain delays these days. When it arrived, it was packed well, and it was what I ordered and expected. I installed it without any problems, and my door is working again. Time will tell how well it holds up, the old spring lasted over 10 years.

Remember to plug in remote light prior to programming

Got the spring earlier than expected so the delivery is five full stars, excellent product so another five stars. Another five stars for cost of product. And saved significant amount in replacing it myself with a few instructional videos.
