I have them on a 8 foot door. They stretch out to 71 inches with the door closed seem to work just fine. I do have a safety cable passing through the springs.

I ordered a replacement garage lock kit for my 1950s garage - it fit perfectly. I can now open the garage door from outside rather than running though the house. Wonderful!

I called up on a Saturday, thinking that they were open until 4 pm. After talking to Mr. Millard, and finding out that the business was closed on Saturdays, he helped me find the part that I needed for my opener. He talked me through ordering the part and packaged it up and set it up so that I could pick up the part the same day. This is the best service that I have ever received from any place at any time.
