Optex Hybrid Industrial Door Sensor

The Optex OAM-Explorer is a combination active infrared and microwave sensor designed for industrial door applications. Functioning as both an activation and supplementary safety sensor, it improves the safety and efficiency of industrial doors by using a large microwave detection area for activation and infrared technology for safety around the threshold.

This versatile sensor can control external devices such as warning lights or alarms to warn vehicles and pedestrians on the opposite side of the door. Configuration and fine-tuning are handled through a smartphone app via Bluetooth LE, meaning fewer trips up and down a ladder for installers. Saved favorite settings can be reused across facilities with multiple industrial doors, while the screwless design allows smooth independent angle setting and reduces total installation time by approximately half compared with conventional industrial door sensors.
