Transcore, LP E4 Reader, SeGo/IAG/6C Protocols, RS232
The TransCore Encompass® 4 is a fully integrated wireless RFID reader designed for parking, security access, electronic vehicle registration (EVR), traffic management, and low-speed electronic toll collection applications. This model communicates over an RS-232 interface and reads SeGo, IAG, and 6C protocols, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of access-control deployments.
As a multiprotocol reader, the Encompass 4 family is capable of reading TransCore Super eGo® (SeGo), eGo (ISO 18000-6B), ATA/AAR/ISO 10374, Interagency Group (IAG), and Wiegand. A built-in Wiegand translator converts ATA, eGo, and SeGo tags into Wiegand data for compatibility with existing security systems. The reader also provides expanded tag read buffering, programmable RF power and frequency, system integrity checking, and programmable group select.
Built for the field, the Encompass 4 features a fixed-mount, integrated package in a tamper-resistant polycarbonate housing suitable for pole or wall mounting, indoors or outdoors. Its command set is compatible with TransCore's SmartPass®, Encompass 2, and Encompass 3 readers, and the unit can be easily installed, tested, and maintained by authorized personnel.
