Diablo Controls Det. Loop 10-30vacdc-Single Ch. Dual Out

The DSP-10 Vehicle Detector from Diablo Controls, Inc. is a single-channel detector designed to provide reliable vehicle detection for gate and access-control applications. Built into a compact Lexan housing and powered by a high-performance 8-bit microcontroller, it was designed to retrofit into existing locations that may require a detector upgrade, allowing maintenance personnel to carry a single detector to meet most vehicle detection needs.

This LV version operates on 10–40 volts DC or 10–30 volts AC with over-voltage protection. It supports two sensor technologies: standard inductive loop detection, which senses electrically conductive material over the loop, and a flux-gate magnetometer (free exit probe), which measures changes in the earth's magnetic field caused by moving objects. Because the magnetometer only detects movement, it should never be used for safety or obstruction detection.

Configuration is handled through DIP switches and a rotary switch, with selectable options including presence and pulse detection, fail-safe or fail-secure operation, ten sensitivity settings, four frequency settings, extended presence, delay, and extension. The detector connects via an 11-pin relay socket and can be mounted in any position.
