Liftmaster Connected Access Portal-2 Dr Controller

The Connected Access Portal 2-Door Controller (Model CAP2D) by LiftMaster is an IP-based access control unit designed to manage entry at up to two doors or gates. It operates as part of the LiftMaster Cloud hosted service, allowing administrators to set up facilities, residents, and credentials through an online account. The controller continues to operate standalone if the network connection is interrupted, with the Ethernet port serving as a supplemental connection.

The CAP2D supports two Wiegand reader inputs and provides two primary and two auxiliary relay outputs (SPDT) for controlling door strikes, magnetic locks, gate operators, and similar devices. It accepts Request to Exit (REX) and supervised inputs, and stores credential and event data with capacity for 25,000 people and 8,000 events. A backup lithium coin battery (CR1220) preserves system data during primary power outages.

Suitable for commercial gate and door access-control applications, the unit can be powered either by 12 VDC auxiliary input or via Power over Ethernet (PoE), selectable by an onboard jumper. It complies with the UL294 Standard for access control units (subject to documented restrictions) and is intended for installation by qualified individuals following applicable fire and electrical codes.
