The Maximum Controls 1500 PRO is a high-traffic commercial brushless 24V DC slide gate operator engineered for continuous-duty performance and true security. Built around an adaptive DSP motion-control system and a brushless DC motor with torque equivalent to a 1/2 HP AC motor, it delivers smooth, precise gate movement with intelligent ramp-up and ramp-down to minimize stress on mechanical components. It is UL 325/991 compliant for Class I, II, III, and IV operation and is CSA approved (note: safety sensors are required for UL 325 2018).

Designed for demanding access-control applications, the 1500 PRO handles gates up to 50 ft long and 1,500 lbs at a speed of 12 inches per second. A heavy-duty direct-drive cast iron gearbox (Size 50, 30:1) with no internal chains, belts, or pulleys provides reliable, super-quiet operation across an extreme operational temperature range of -4F to 165F (-20C to +74C) without a heater. Programmable virtual OPEN and CLOSE limits come standard, with magnetic Hall Effect limit sensing available as an option, factory installed or field retrofitted.

Security and safety features include an adaptive obstruction sensor with 16 selectable sensitivity settings, a dynamic magnetic brake that stops the gate immediately on contact, tamper-alert and audible alarms, magnetic lock control relay outputs, and anti-tailgate protection. A built-in battery backup module provides a minimum of 100 cycles (200 on average) in case of power failure, with Fire Department compliance allowing the gate to auto-open on loss of AC power or battery depletion. The unit ships with a cover door, a 25 ft nickel-plated chain and brackets, and is backed by a 5-year warranty (battery 1 year).
