Alarm Lock AIR ACCESS SIGNAL GENERATOR
The AIR ACCESS SIGNAL GENERATOR (AL-NSG) by Alarm Lock is a portable, battery-powered Gateway simulation device used during the planning and survey of wireless Networx access-control systems. It generates continuous Gateway radio signals that are read by the AL-NSM Networx Signal Meter to evaluate signal coverage between Networx Gateways and Networx locks.
The NSG can be placed in the proposed location of a Networx Gateway or a Networx lock to help determine the acceptability and dependability of the radio signal at that location. By hanging the unit from a lock lever handle or mounting it in a proposed Gateway position, installers can verify sufficient signal strength before committing to a permanent installation.
It is well suited for site surveys when determining where to mount a Gateway for sufficient lock coverage, or when confirming that proposed lock locations fall within a chosen Gateway's coverage area. Note that the NSG is not required for scenarios that use a Gateway's existing "Gateway Signal Test Mode" feature in DL-Windows.
