a must if youre replacing springsmost original installs are done on the cheap with nylon/plastic bearings, at least mine was. Since I was replacing a pair of torsion springs, I decided to put real ball bearing metal races instead of reusing the plastic stuff. Helped sound wise immensely. Very quite open and closing garage door.
