A slight different design as far as where the terminals are located for the power to connect but other than that I popped the old socket out and inserted the new light socket. My garage door opener is a Craftsman purchased in 1998.

I have them on a 8 foot door. They stretch out to 71 inches with the door closed seem to work just fine. I do have a safety cable passing through the springs.

I highly recommend Preferred Doors. I recently purchased a gear and pulley replacement set for my 20 year old Craftsman belt drive 1/2 HP opener. Would be nice to have a little instruction in the package, I figured it out but some people may have a hard time figuring it out.
