The 41C4220A OEM LiftMaster Gear and Sprocket Assembly is the preferred way to "refurbish" your garage door opener as it quickly replaces all of the common wear parts in the opener drive system. This OEM kit includes all of the 41A2817 Drive / Worm Gear kit, and is easier to install because you do not have to disassemble the output shaft assembly - the spur gear is already mounted on the new output shaft. The 41C4220A assembly also includes the worm gear, and a new bushing under the sprocket which is another common wear item. Fits most chain drive openers manufactured since 1984 by: Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, Master Mechanic, and some units from Wayne Dalton. Replaces part 41A2827. Note: Also fits openers labeled under various names such as: Sears Craftsman, True Value, Master Mechanic, and some units from Wayne Dalton. Liftmaster also "private labeled" openers for regional suppliers and dealers - usually it is very easy to see that it is a Liftmaster opener with a different name on the cover. Compare your parts to the picture above. The Large Gear is 2 3/4" x 1/2" wide, with a 1/2" bore. The worm gear is 1 1/8" OD, and the teeth are 1 1/4" wide (all sizes are approximate).

Worked fineWorked as described. Good quality and plenty of grease included. Make sure to read all directions and take your time. You must pre-insert the screws into the top metal plate to create grooves, so final installation will be easier. As an aside, the USPS took fifteen days to make the delivery from Texas to Connecticut.

Very good product - only one issueRepair kit arrived quickly. All the parts were there. Directions were clear enough. I had to reuse the old set screws because the supplied set screws for the collar were two long and were tearing up the rotation sensor. Had to use my own blue locktight. Otherwise very straight forward. If not for the set screws I would have given all fives.

All goodThe package arrived in a few days and it contained everything needed to fix my garage door gearbox. Very well done! There are competing kits on Amazon that don't appear to have exactly the same assortment of replacement parts. Your display made it hard to see, as the parts are in a plastic bag; other kits have them neatly laid out, easier to ascertain. I took a slight risk on yours, but everything I needed was there. I can't really answer as to quality of the parts yet -- ask me in 10 years. :) but I will assume that the main gear is the same tough plastic.
