Genie G3T-BX Intellicode 2 Dual Frequency 315/390 MHz Three Button Visor/Keychain Garage Door Opener Remote Control Part Number 37218R.
Works With Genie Intellicode Series II and new Series III garage door openers on 315 and 390 MHz frequency manufactured from 1997 to present. Compatible with newer dual frequency Genie garage door openers.
This is a brand new Genie Intellicode 2 model G3T-BX three-button visor or key chain garage door opener or Intellicode radio receiver remote control transmitter. This remote works with all Genie Intellicode or Overhead Doors Code Dodger garage door openers or gate radio receivers manufactured since 1997. This newly designed remote is compatible with the Genie Intellicode 1 versions also known as the series II control system as well as the new Intellicode 2 system introduced in 2011. Each button can be individually set for either the Intellicode 1 mode or the Intellicode 2 mode.
The remote includes programming instructions on how to change the mode of the individual button from Intellicode 2 (factory default) mode to the Intellicode 1 mode. Once each of the button are set to the correct mode for the device it is to operate it then needs to be added to the door opener or radio receivers memory. Will not work on garage door openers or gate receivers that use the older code switch type remotes or the original Intellicode system manufactured prior to 1997. Controls up to three garage door openers or gate radio receivers.

All that was PromisedWasn't that surprised that the garage door opener works just like the original since it was exactly like the original. Pairing with the door motor was about a one minute operation. It really works on other openersI have an overhead door company opener. It uses the rolling codes (code dodger). The standard remotes for the unit were more than twice the price of the genie opener. I studied up on the genie and decided to give it a try. It works. Opens and closes door, so dont hesitate to try a different brand that says it will work with other brands.

Very HappyI ordered an additional remote for my Garage opener. The price was right along with speedy shipping. The range on this opener is affected by the area. Mine will work all the way down to the end of the block. My older Genie's worked at the same distance. My neighbors remote from my house did not work, but mine worked from his house. Something like the acoustics in the area such as the way the signal bounces off of houses. I am not certain.

Genie G3T-BX works, but....As I had read in other reviews, the range of the Genie G3T-BX is not very good. I have a Genie garage door opener and it was really easy to program and it works well when the door is open, however, you need to be within 6-8 feet of the closed door before it will open. I don't think it's only this remote though....I read many reviews on Genie and Chamberlain openers and they have seem to have their limits. Ordering from Preferred Doors was easy and shipping was fast. This is not a knock on Preferred Doors, just the opener quality itself.
