Easy to program - fit the bill 100%This little clicker (remote control) is easy to program. The process was elementary. The result was perfect. I was dreading having to get this done - but it was a cinch. The previous owner did not have a clicker - she used the keypad on the outside of the garage wall. If only she had known! Now to take this clicker and program my bother's Lincoln MKX. I think I can do that too.This key chain size device is recommended by me. It was also a good price make it a value purchase. And yes - I paid full price for it.

Easy set up.Easy set up and works great. Only personal draw back, once I pair the remote with the garage opener, the built in remote in my Mercedes stops working and when I try to pair it with the new remote and garage opener, the new remote stops working. I’m not sure if this only happen with certain cars because my other cars with built in garage remote does not get affected. I would surely like to get a technical advice regarding this issue.

Almost everything I could want.Programming was fairly easy, though I discovered that if you are too close, it won't work (I had to get off the ladder). The only thing I would like to change is that I wish it were waterproof so that I could leave it on the handle bars of my motorcycle so I can simply hit the button when I pull into the driveway instead of having to stop and pull it out of the glove box.

Handy GadgetI use this tiny remote a lot in the winter, the little gadget has worked out great. Lets me open my garage door, roll out the blower, then close the door in one shot. Otherwise I'd have to open the door, roll out the equipt, go back inside, close the main door, and exit at the walk-in door (gets old). Had it programmed and tested in a couple minutes. No problems.

Works well, very easy to programThis opener was very easy to program - took me 3 minutes. It also works great, and I love its small size.
My only complaint is that the range is not that far - that is, how far away you can be from the garage and have the opener work. I seem to have to be pretty close, say 10 - 15 feet from the door. That is slightly inconvenient because I have to stop the car to wait for the door to open. Ideally, I'd want the opener to work at a greater distance, so the door would be open when I got to it, and I would not have to wait.
It may be that I'd get more range if I put a fresh battery in it ... we'll see.Posted on

Small yet mightyI have had several garage door remotes. This is by far the smallest and has the best signal strength. It will open the door half way down the block, to it's open and waiting for me when I turn into the driveway. A much larger and I'm sure less effective one at the local hardware store was $45.

Only one thing you need to know is you don't have to press button hard. Just soft touch on the button will work. At first I thought button is not working and realized I shouldn't press it hard. I read many people complained the distance of range. For me it is not a big deal. Why do you need to open your garage door from far side of door?
Very simple to set up also. I bought pair of remote control for each door. It took 2min for 2 device :)

Good product, but small.Product is good on all parameters. My old archaic large remote that I had since 1998 finally broke. Paid a lot more at the Genie website for a new one. Too small. OkayThe product works well. Pros: it is small and does not take up much space in a pocket, purse, or car compartment. Con: small size means smaller battery; sometimes it takes two or three clicks to engage the garage door mechanism. Great Little RemoteThis is a cute little remote. You can clip it to your visor or attach it to your keys. It is about the same size as most auto key fobs. Very easy to pair with the main unit. Not goodThe Remote programmed nicely out of the box. Just outside the garage door, the device opened the door nicely the first click. Then nothing ........ After a little while, the device would operate the door again. I don't know if it's the device or the battery within. The device may have been sitting on the Genie shelf for a long time resulting in an aged battery. I'll try a new battery and see what happens ............ not happy

Nice and smallIt fits perfectly in the little cubbie in my car so I don't have to mess up my sun visor with those crappy indentations. It also fits nice and snug on my motorcycle. I put it on one of the larger cables (too small for the handlebars) rode it home from work about 20 miles some highway, and it stayed put. There is a slight delay after you press the button but it works! I press the button about 100 feet before I get to my driveway and it starts to open.

Easy to program; short rangeIt does have a very short range, but I was expecting that after reading the reviews. It kicks in at the bottom of my driveway, which is about 30 feet. I followed the directions for programming the unit and it went smoothly and worked right away. This remote is smaller than it appears online, but that's nice because it is light weight and hangs easily from my key chain with no bulkiness. It is nice to have this as a backup, since I lost my other backup a while back. I priced them in the store and they were at least $10 more.

not badI was requested to leave feed back on this product. I purchased this for a rental house I have and as such, I have not had an opportunity to fly there to set it up or to use it. That being said, I have one already, and the size and set up were all great. Warning. You will need a ladder, and a few tools to access your garage door opener for the set up. Very very easy though. DON'T FALL OFF THE LADDER. I thought I should have a back up since they are quite small.

Not working wellI was very happy to receive my remote so quickly and for the price. It opened the garage door just fine but then once it was put in my car, it was unable to go through the closed garage door and open it to park the car. sending backI received the remote and the programming was easy and the remote worked the door if I was within 15 feet of the door, when it was open and intermittent even then. My old remote works every time at 60 feet. I tried calling Preferred Doors twice and each after being told there was an extremely high call volume and waiting 5 minutes, I hung up. I feel the device won't meet my criteria and will send back tomorrow.

Works great!This remote can be on a keychain and about the sum of the car remote. Replaced an old intellicode remote asctcg 3. Husband set it to the garage door opener in less than 5 minutes.

satisfiedremote was easy to program and worked first time I pushed the button. It seems to have a limited range compared to my old remote though .I received my order sooner than I expected. I am happy with my new remote.

Very short range!Door opener works great if you're standing in the garage or very VERY close by. With door open to prevent interference, the range was measured at just 25ft. Not even a full car length away from my garage door. I use this for my walks and is convenient and small to carry. It has a delay, so you have to push button and wait, push button and wait, push button and wait til door finally responds. If you intend on using this in your car, you may crash through the door in your attempt to get close enough for transmitter to function. For my intended use, it's ok. For practical use in your auto, it's garbage.

be aware when put on a key ringSo far, so good, you just need to be aware that if you have it on a key ring with a bunch of other keys, change or other stuff in your pocket , the button might get depressed and you might accidentally open your garage door

Completely SatisfiedThe garage door opener was a replacement item and it met all of my expectations. A+++My wife's old Genie remote had a rubbery button that was getting very hard to press. This replacement has a hard plastic button that is much easier to press and works great! Yay!

Great Item, Works greatThis remote took only a couple minutes to program and works great. Distance for activation might be just a little shorter than the original remote, but the small size of this one is much more convenient for use on my motorcycle. Handy little remoteI purchased the one button genie remote to replace another older model that was no longer working. I needed it for my daughter to have so she can have access to our house when needed. I received the order very quickly and in less time than expected. The remote was very easy to program. Good productI bought with an eye on other amazon low reviews complaining about range. Worse comes to worst I would return it but the remote is great. Works from far away and it does not have the issue I had with the previous remote, namely over sensitive. This is perfect. One touch, immediate reponse and no door stopping at the middle. No regrets.

It works.I ordered it on 11/11. Shipping estimate said to expect it on the 18th but I got it on the 16th. :) The only reason I gave it 4 stars overall is because it doesn't have as good of range as the original door opener which my son lost. Sometimes I have to be within 3 feet of the door for it to work. The original would work as soon as I turned in my driveway ... about 50ft away.

Great valueThis item worked as promised at less than one fifth the cost of having to replace the duplicate of the original remote. I've given 5 stars for quality and overall, but having had the item for only a few weeks, I may reevaluate, depending on how long it continues to function. I've reordered this item after determining that it worked with my garage door opener. Looks good so far, but only time will tell if this is truly the value I've assigned it here..

A great replacement unit.This is a great replacement unit for the large and unreliable handheld remote for the aging Genie opener. It is much smaller and easier to put in the pocket if needed to. The customer service from Preferred Door was prompt and as well as the delivery. The product worked on the first try. This is much improved opener than the ones Genie has manufactured for our original opener.

The seller was great!The quality of the garage door openers is very good although they're a bit smaller than I thought they'd be. My only opinion is that it seems to require a closer distance before it will open the garage. Other than that the experience with Preferred Doors LLC (the seller) was more than satisfactory.

Just what I needed to replace old type 1 remoteI needed to replace old style type 1 remote. I wrote to ask if these were a good replacement. Your answer was an honest one.. You could not guarantee it. Well my research told me it would work. I ordered 2 of these and yes they work well. The range is not as good as the old ones but I am happy nonetheless . Programming instructions were included.

It arrived.Arrived with no packaging loose in the delivery envelope. My first thought the seller must bulk order these. Programming instructions would have been an added bonus. Thank goodness for Google to figure out how to program it. Very small. Button needs to be pushed 2-3 times for any response from the garage door. Was planning to use it in the car but the original is more reliable so will use it only as a spare.

Works well if closeI like the button, It has a nice feeling snap so you really know you have pressed it. I wish it had better range. It wouldn't work from inside my car, even 6 feet from door. However, I was able to improve the range by adjusting the antenna on the door. I just stretcthed it out a couple of inches. Now it works from inside my car, but only within about 10 feet from door.

Works wellThe product was shipped quickly and I was surprised to see how small the remote is - very convenient size. Programming it was easy and we had it working very fast. Its range does seem a little shorter than the old remote it is replacing (as others have noted) but it is quite enough.

Good at close rangeThis is great on a key chain. Too far out clipped to the visor...hit or miss. Is is small enough to attach top a key chain and works well as long as you are close enough.
