Our Made in U.S.A. High Quality Coated Torsion Springs are factory coated black for smoother, cleaner operation and also corrosion resistant and oil tempered for longer life.
For use on doors 7' or 8' high doors with 4" standard lift drums. Engineered for maximum application range. Minimum 10,000 cycles, at +/- 7.5 lbs of target door weight. Springs are made of steel coils with aluminum cones.

Success the first timeThis is the first time I had attempted to replace the torsion springs on my garage door. The springs were a little more expensive than other places but they arrived quickly and upon first look were of much better quality than the ones I was replacing. The website made it easy to make sure I purchased the correct springs and from there everything went smoothly. It took me about an hour to complete the job and so far so good. I would definitely recommend Preferred Doors to friends and family.

Good Parts and good comunicationeverything arrived in good order. A phone call took care of any issues I thought I had. Key phrase here is "I thought I had". You see under the new shipping and supply issues they split the part shipments up to get them to me as fast as possible. So when only a couple parts arrived earlier than expected I called them. They where wonderful on the phone and let me know they had to split up the parts to get them out as fast as possible to me. They kept me in the loop by calling me and emails, and at least two weeks (again supply and shipping issues) before I thought I would be fixing my garage door it was all back up and running.

Excellent serviceI have a broken garage torsion spring (7 years old from my house builder). Maybe it was due to our heavy useage. Our garage door was very heavy and hard to be opened manually. I decided to upgrade the torsion spring. My orginal one was 218X2X23. I call Preferred door and they told me they only have 225X2X24.5. I decided to go ahead to try that one. I went to Preferred Door store the next day. They had my pair of spring waiting for me. I told them my story and they told me that usually if upgrading spring, you need to add 4 inches in spring length. They were not sure how heavy my garage door is. So they told me that if the springs do not work, bring them back. I bought the pair of new spring and put them on my garage door. They are working perfectly and now the garage door will stay in the middel half way open if not pushed. Thank Preferred Door. They are very professional and customer-oriented. That was the best experience I have for a quite long time. Thank you again Preferred Door.

Parts ship quickMy garage door spring broke, and using the website I was able to quickly and easily order replacement torsion springs. I have a two bay garage, so I replaced both springs so that I will get 10k cycles. I forgot to order the winding bar, but luckily HD carries 1/2" solid bars, which can fit the bill. Pretty straight-forward install.

Fine productThe price on the springs was among the best that I found. The product shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The shipping container was adequate, but the cardboard was beginning to fail on the ends. The springs installed without issue and are working right now. Note that the springs include an indicator line so that you can count your turns as they are wound - nice touch. I am very happy with the purchase.

ExcellentI contacted u guys befor I made my purchase, and the guy that helped me out was more than qualified and was a pleasure to talk to. He helped me out so much and I was not able to do the job without his help;) I installed the springs and twisted them correct toy except one. I was suppose to twist the springs like 20 times, and I actcidently twisted one double what it was suppose to. It keep jumping off the aluminum ends. I eventually let it rest and finished the job. Did I hurt that one spring? When I let both seat there and rest one had the words straight across it, like it was shipped the other at relaxed state was twisted one full turn, I hope I didn't damage the one spring. But it is working great now. Thank u for all ur help, and none that ever needs parts I will send them ur way first, thank u for ur professionalism...
